In the roundtable was attended by rectors of higher educational institutions, technical director of building a profile, the heads of construction companies, representatives of executive authorities, as well as President of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences Alexander Kudryavtsev, chairman of the union of builders Boris Soshenko, First Vice-President of the Russian Engineering Academy Andrew Star .

Builders Association of Russia stated in this way, the need to reform the vocational education building. According to the organizers of the roundtable, the implementation of a national project, doubling by 2010 the volume of input housing is impossible without the participation of a trained construction personnel. From the use of cheap unskilled labor from abroad it is time to move on to the introduction on the production of Russian specialists.

In accordance with the request of Dmitry Medvedev on 12 October 2006 to consider staffing the building complex, the roundtable produced a number of proposals to resolve the situation. Suggestions include: an increase in quotas for admission to training in construction trades, the organization of industry interaction with federal RSA public educational institutions, secondary vocational education, active participation of employers in the development of standards and programs, the formation of task orders for training, mandatory training standards for workers in the self - organizations building a profile, the creation of industry research center.

Summing up the meeting, Nikolai Koshman noted that the specific solutions adopted by the «help to solve those complex tasks that lie ahead for the system construction of vocational education in Russia part of its modernization , effective and high quality development and ensure that the activities of joint work for the benefit of Russian education, the future of Russia ».
